I received my PSE Stinger last evening, took it out of the box and inspected it. I drew the bow with my release and measured to make sure of arrow length for my draw. This morning I went to store and picked up 6 – 5/16 dia. Carbon Express, 30″ Sabre Hunter arrows and a new pack of 100 grain field points as I plan to use 100 grain swhacker broadheads to hunt in Central Texas (we have a lot of hogs and white tail deer). Since I didn’t have time to go to a formal range or a pasture, I marked off 10 yd and 20 yd shots in my backyard.

The first shot at 10 yards with zero adjustments to the bow or pins was dead in line vertically with the bullseye and only 3″ high. Being a new bow, I didn’t change anything and placed 3 more arrows so tight that a silver dollar would cover all 4 holes… I backed off to 20 yd shot and found that the same pin found the mark at 20 yards. I had to start spreading my shots around the target so as to not damage my arrows. This bow is fast and quiet. I am very pleased with this purchase and with at least mine it truly is a ready to shoot package. There are certainly more expensive bows out there but for the money this bow is hard to beat.

I was attracted to this bow for it’s smaller size and price. It fits nicely on my backpack when hiking uphill or back to camp. From the start I have been able to shoot accurately with the PSE Stinger. PSE is by far my favorite bow. You may get more FPS with the brute or other models but they are longer. Besides, unless you are in shooting competitions, who cares? This bow will get the job done.

Well worth the money. Comes ready to shoot. Pick up some arrows, but spend some money on the arrows. The bow looks and shoots great. One of the best deals online.

This past summer I purchased a new hunting bow through a national sporting goods store. I have not hunted in many years, but with impending retirement I hope to “get outdoors” more. I was very impressed with the product as was my son. His equipment for hunting was rather outdated too and with his birthday approaching I thought it would be a great time to get a new bow for him as well.

I went back to the sporting goods store, but they had very little selection, so I began to look online. Much to my surprise, rather than finding the best buy at the sporting goods online store (they were backordered) I learned that HB could send me the same product in a much shorter time. So I went with HB

He likes the new PSE bow, of course, but I like the fact that Hunting Bows Co could get the product to me more quickly and cheaper than C……!

While this bow is quite new having only had it about a week, I felt compelled to go ahead and submit an initial review. I will update it as time passes and I get a season’s worth of hunts on it, but thus far I’m amazed. I bow hunted for years but got away from it for a while (last hunt was 2000). I was really picky then but realized that a lot of technology had changed since I last owned. I had shot Mathews, Oneida and a few others previously and was happiest with my Oneida for it’s smooth draw and extreme consistency.

This time around I didn’t want to spend a fortune on a setup as I’m just going to hunt casually with my kids. I heard some good things about the PSE Stinger 3G and the price was tough to beat. Perhaps I am so pleased because my expectations were so far exceeded due to not expecting much. Maybe it’s just that technology has advanced so much since 2000. Whatever it is, I’m floored by this bow. After getting this thing sighted in I am consistently shooting 2 to 3″ groups at 20 yards almost effortlessly.

It’s just as smooth as silk and quiet as a mouse. I’m sure there are much better bows out there but I’ll tell you that I’m confident that a deer or turkey inside of 30 yards doesn’t stand a chance if I’ve got a clear shot, and I’d push this thing out to 40 – 50 yds on if conditions were right. I love this bow. It’s just that simple. More to come.

I have never bow hunted before. Bought this bow and was hitting the target right out of the box. It really is ready to shoot and is deadly accurate. Great Bow!

After it arrived I took it to the local archery shop and got everything adjusted on it for my individual needs. Spent a few days getting it sited in just the way I wanted and have been shooting it with consistent 3″ groupings at 30 yards since. As others have mentioned it is a light bow that makes it easy for the miles of hiking in to the stands we use on the public lands. Great bow for the price.
