Bought this from here because they had the absolute best price and shipping deal. When I received it within 30 mins was hitting bulls-eye at 50 yards. The bow is nothing but quality. I did a lot of research and Excalibur is the best. The great thing is the ability to decock once your hunt is over. Their slogan is correct “Simply Perfect”.

Well I received this package its called “The Lite Stuff Package” which comes with everything but broad-heads to go hunting. This crossbow is extremely accurate, 10-15 shots to sight it in and took it hunting in the morning. First I refletched the firebolts with 2″ blazer vanes, shot it 10-15 times not using a bench just on one knee using 125 grain field tips not the 150gr tips they sent in this package, I never shot at the same target twice until my last shot, it drove the last arrow down the spine of the one before just like robbinhood, unfortunately these crossbows are known for splitting arrows so be careful. Replaced my field tips with 125g montecs and took it hunting the next day without shooting the broad-heads.

The crossbow is very manageable in the woods, not too bulky and light enough not to complain about weight, a couple does came in about 20 yrds from me and the tree-stand I was hunting out of ($99 buddy stand from walmart) has a gun rail that I rested the cross bow one, I lined up my shot with the rest, released the safety (BTW the safety is really quiet which I really really like no click to spook deer) and squeezed the trigger. Both deer take off and I saw one fall down 20 yrds out get up and continue running out of site. I waited an hour and started tracking, found my arrow stuck in the ground 6-10in so I figured I missed until I walked up to the arrow covered in blood, that deer didnt slow this arrow down. Found the doe 40 yrds away with a perfect shot placed, after field dress I found the heart was center punched exactly where I was aiming from the tree stand.

This is a very high quality cross bow, I’m a compound hunter (current compound is a Hoyt Alphamax 32) and I was truly impressed with the accuracy of this crossbow and the noise is not enough were the speed easily counteracts the noise. My buddy bought the barnett jackel and it shoots decent not as accurate as the Excalibur but when it goes off it feels like a tuning fork in your hand. He has no silencers on the bow just stock like mine. The rail is a solid piece of aluminum, stock is a composite with a really rich camo pattern also the limbs to.

I really like the offset quiver that can be turned for a left handed shooter vs the quiver on the jackle which is horizontal under the limbs so every time you set the crossbow down it lays right on the arrows, im not a easton arrow guy so I wasn’t a fan of the included firebolts but after shooting and harvesting that deer this morning, lets just say I ordered 6 more vs the goldtip lazer with brass inserts like a bunch of guys are using with these bows. The exocet 200 is all the cross bow I will ever need, i feel with a well placed shot this bow can harvest a deer at 70-80yrds (I would never attempt more than a 40rd shot) at 20 yrds it went threw and stuck in the ground almost half way down the shaft. My only complaint would be it did not come with the tool to take the string off other than that its an awesome bow and I would deff buy again.

I feel the 200lb limb is more than enough and would not go any heaver, the law in ohio is only 75lbs so 200lbs is a tad overkill but it shoots much flatter, that military guy on youtube can consistently hit a 8-10 in ballon at 200yds!!!! With the matrix 380 with a 260lb limb i believe, Thats crazy with a crossbow lets see darrel pull that shot off from a guard tower lol. The instructional dvd does a great job to show you in detail how to assemble, cock, uncock, maintenance ext very well put together.

Also the scope is great just right on power, I was on x2 power which was more than enough when I center punched the doe. I cant think of any cons to this crossbow, i think I would prefer a pistol grip stock vs traditional but nothing to gripe about, have shot compounds since I was 13 currently 22 and this was my first ever use of cross bow other than my buddys jackal he bought right after mine and I am deff a fan. Great bow a must have.
