After considering several brands of crossbows I decided on the Barnett Zombie edition. I don’t hunt but love to target shoot (shotgun, pistol and rifle). I decided to give a crossbow a try. I must admit watching Daryl with his crossbow on The Walking Dead on AMC spurred my interest in crossbows even more. The only thing I had to do was shorten the cocking rope about 10 inches and was ready to shoot. I would highly recommend this to anyone interested in crossbow.

This thing’s SICK. It’s basically a Ghost 350, only cast in tactical black finish with some snazzy red cams. Barnett’s clever decision to create a tactical style bow in the $500 – $600 range was what got me to buy. Sure, I would’ve loved to pop for a Ghost 400, but with sweet add-ons like extra arrows, a nice quiver and sling, and a crank-cocking device, that would total nearly $1200. I bought my Zombie with all those extras for @ $500.

The adjustable focus scope lights up nicely in 5 different levels of brightness and 2 different colors.(Red or green) It’s not the fanciest scope on the market, but it’s accurate enough to get the job done in low light situations. The stock comes crank device ready, so I installed one and it works great. Not as fast as a rope cocker, but a hell of a lot easier. Tactical rails on both top back and bottom front. A quiver comes mounted on the lower front rail. I took mine off and added a flashlight/laser combo instead. Test fired it all weekend with 0 problems, and I have to say that 350 fps is PLENTY fast. The arrow hits the target when you pull the trigger. And even at 60 yards, I was blasting bolts clean through my target. What a nasty, nasty weapon. I gave it 5 stars for it’s pinpoint accuracy, incredible power, and overall ergonomics of design/functionality at a decent price. Pick one of these up…you won’t be disappointed.

When i got my zombie 350 i couldn’t wait to open the box and put it together. barnett packaged this product very well. nothing was scratched and everything was in perfect condition. i had this thing un boxed and put together in less than ten minutes. this x bow is a silent killing machine! it has so much power and is insanely fast. it came with three 20″ bolts, quick detach quiver, and a 3 power scope as advertised. also field tips and rope cocking device. the scope could be a lil better so i will most likely upgrade to the nikon x bow scope. i also bought the utg tactical bi-pod that will fit with the quiver attached after some grinding off of the bi-pod mount.

I would recommend shortening the rope cocking device because i found myself with my hands coming up to my chin to get the bow cocked. for anyone looking to purchase a hard case for this bow, i purchased to plano max crossbow case and it fits perfectly with the scope attached. You can find my review for that under that product. make sure to use the string wax and rail lube as recommended. also check to make sure everything is tight after every ten shots or so. the power and velocity can and will make things loose. I would also recommend using the block black x bow target.. i haven’t had one bolt pass completely through the target or come close to the fletching and thats at 20 yards. I hope this review helps
