Product Description

The Barnett Ghost 410 CRT Crossbow Package weight only 7.3 pounds and only 20″ axle to axle, this bow is no doubt a game changer. It may be lighter and faster than its predecessor, the Ghost 400, but the 410 has maintained some of its most impressive features. Like the 400, the 410 features Barnett’s proprietary Carbonlite Riser Technology (CRT), which shifts the balance point away from the riser and back to the shoulder of the shooter. Barnett’s unique patent-protected, ultra-light, super-strong Carbonlite riser boasts an incredible 5-to-1 safety factor and provides the perfect balance of weight and speed.

Speedy delivery, easy to assemble, scope came mounted-just had to dial it in, super fast, quiet and deadly accurate. Shooting Barnett 22″ carbon arrows with 125g spitfire broadheads.

If you want a crossbow for hunting look no farther this one is the BOMB. It is not very wide so good in tight places trees, blinds, Ect. As we all know speed kills and this is fast and hard hitting. Also speed helps when windy it makes more accurate shots. It is fun when just sitting around shooting the bull. The only drawback is the cord is long to caulk it and you will need to shorten it unless you are basketball Jones I am 6′ 3″. You will need a crank cocking device if you have short arms. I ordered this and 2 days later it was at my house in alaska with free shipping.

This is an awesome bow and the other reviewers are right on. It looks fantastic and feels good and well balanced. Here are a few notes and tips:

Along with the items mentioned in the product description, the following are also included in the package:
    + 1 Barnett fatigue-cammo crossbow embroidered cap
+ 1 stick of string wax
+ 1 extra trigger spring (the thing that holds the string once cocked)
+ 1 extra thick shoulder pad with shock absorbing (based on preference you can remove the standard pad and replace with this)
    + 3 100 grain field-tips

Items to note when assembling the bow:
+ All bolts thread very easily. Recommend you insert bolts into sockets and get a feel for the resistance before assembly. If parts are not lined up properly (tight tolerances), the bolts will not thread easily and you could cross-thread (e.g. quiver, bow to stock). Take it easy and make sure everything is lined up properly.
+ When attaching bow to stock, the crossed strings go into the slot below the string guide and the bow string (that is used to nock the arrow rides on top of the stock on the guide
+ You might need to tilt the stock to get the strings in place, then align the stock once the stings are lined up. There are 2 small guide tabs in the stock that need to slide into slots in the bow. Line those up and gently push down on the stock while pulling up on the bow to get everything lined up and in place. You need to do this because the bow string pushes the stock out of place and you need to counter the resistance of the string during assembly. Again, the bolt used to mount the bow to the stock screws in rather easily at first then gets a little harder. Make sure it is easy to start or it is not lined up properly.

Both my hunting partner and I purchased the Ghost 410. As we both qualified for the disabled crossbow archery permits, allowed in most states. We have shot 3 inch groups with the 410, at 80 yards. The scope that came with the 410 is a 3 x, with 4 lighted range dots, red / green or black, and works very well. The Barnett crank cocking device is almost required to load a bolt. I read some bad reviews on the crank and almost did not buy one.

We reversed the crank lines, from the way it comes from the factory, by; undo the line stop, take the end loop of the crank line off the stop. Then take end of line with loop, reverse the direction through the small pulley, that hook’s to bow string loading attachment and reattach to stop and install. Now the line will run on top, from the stop, down through top of small pulley, back to crank spool on bottom on both sides.. Both lines are now straight and not crossed and will pull straight.

We read reviews that the string serving separates after a few shots, and yes it will. To stop this right from the start, put two bow string knocks, one at each end of serving. Keep everything lubed well.

If you are looking for a bow that will take down any archery game and not cost you your savings to get it, this is the one. Not only is it rugged and durable but it was very simple to put together. I have had it for awhile now and still no issues. I would recommend a Barnett Quad Crank Cocking Device to make your life that much easier!
